Yes, we can accept QCDs, Stocks, IRA distributions, and other gifts
Need to make a Qualified Charitable Contribution? Have stock you’d like to donate? There may be tax advantages for you to send those directly to us or our financial advisor.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is any distribution from a Traditional or Roth IRA made directly by the IRA trustee to a qualified charitable organization when the IRA owner is age 70-1/2 or older. A QCD may satisfy the RMD (required minimum distribution) and up to $100,000 of QCDs may be excluded annually from an individual's taxable income.
NETWorks is a qualified charity for a QCD. If you wish to make a donation, there are potential benefits to contributing as a QCD. This method may be able to provide tax benefits whether or not you itemize your deductions. In addition, a QCD can satisfy all or a portion of your required minimum distribution (RMD).
If you are interested in learning more about QCDs, please e-mail sshapiro@networkscoop.org.
You may be able to make donations of securities, usually stocks or bonds, to NETWorks Cooperative Ministry. There are several advantages to the donor for this type of gift, and, of course, there is significant value to NETWorks in receiving this type of gift.
Depending on your particular situation, you may be able to use the donation as an itemized deduction on Schedule A of Form 1040. If you’d like more information about donations of securities (stocks, bonds, etc.), please contact Stephanie Shapiro at sshapiro@networkscoop.org.
If you would prefer to mail a check, make it out to NETWorks Cooperative Ministry and mail it to
